To Submit an Article:
All women are encouraged to submit drawings, photos & writings (articles, poetry, journal pieces, announcements, etc.) for publication in Mama Raga.
Submissions for publication must be sent to us in electronic format (e-mail or on disc). We cannot accept hardcopy submission unless it is a business ad.
We print a variety of viewpoints on topics of concern to our community members. Remember: Mama is not responsible for any opinions printed unless it specifically states the article is by “Mama Raga”. All other opinions voiced or statements made are solely those of the author of the article. Mama Raga is also not responsible for the content of any article printed unless that article was written by or for the Mama Raga Collective.
We are willing to withhold your name from publication upon request, but please include a contact name and telephone number.
PLEASE NOTE: We print almost everything we receive as is. It is the responsibility of the women submitting to get permission to use names and/or events. We also reserve the right to edit.
Articles should be 650 words or less. Submissions longer than 650 words may be printed in two or more parts.
Articles must be received by Mama Raga no later than 6 PM on the 1st of the month prior to publication. Otherwise, articles will run in the following month’s issue.
